Introducing My New Baby

Posted by: joymanning In: On my mind

Hi, What I Weigh Today readers!

Did you all know I’ve been at this blogging stuff just three weeks shy of a year? And in that time, I have really taken to blogging. I mean, I really, really like it. And as much as I enjoy this site, I’ve been wanting a legitimate, photo-filled food and recipe blog for a long time.

And now I have one:

The Oyster Evangelist

This site here is for my insecurities, but I hope Oyster Evangelist will deal in those things I know for sure: food, cooking, and eating. I promise that I will share only the best in terms of recipes and restaurant recommendations. I hope to make you hungry and inspire you to cook it up. I hope you’ll come there to ask me questions and tell me what you’re up to in your own kitchen.

Regular readers know that I’ve debated shuttering this site, and I’m still on the fence, but for now I believe that checking in here about what I weigh does meĀ  (and most of you who) more good than harm. Special thanks for Cat, at Fresh, for reminding me that no matter how stupid you feel sharing the neurosis in your soul, there’s someone who feels just the same way.

Even if weight is more your area of interest than cooking and food, I do hope you’ll take a peek. I just started, but I hope to run the full spectrum of topics that relate to food. And to me, that means I’ll cover pretty much everything.

Congrats on the launch of your new blog, Joy! I’m anxious to get reading and cooking! :)

I understand being on the fence about keeping this blog open … but I hope you will. I know that reading her has helped me immensely.

Your new blog looks great. I’ve added you to my subscriptions.

I do hope you keep going with this one. You say those things I’m too afraid to say and I feel like I can commiserate (co-misery?) with you.
